KOENIG CORNER

I can hardly believe that it is November and Parent Teacher Conferences are upon us. Here are a few things to remember in regards to Parent Teacher Conferences.

  • Conferences are a two-way conversation.

  • Ask your child how things are going at school, what they think the teacher is going to say about them and their progress this year.

  • Ask your child if there is anything that they want you to ask the teacher about.

  • Arrive with a few questions ready to ask.

  • Be sure to talk with your child after the conference. Share areas they are strong in and areas they need to work on.

  • Don’t leave thinking this is the only conversation to be had. Keep in communication with your child’s teacher/s. Open communication is always the best policy.
Serving Alongside You,
Dawn Koenig

THE CLINIC

Help us make a difference in someone’s life!

Thank you to all who donated coats! We are excited to say we received a total of 32!

Only 4 more days until Clinic 11 on Sat. Nov. 11, 2017!!!

This is the free clinic for area residents who are in need. It is an outreach event to support the community by striving to meet human needs in Christ’s name.

Thank you to all who have volunteered. You should have received an email with general information for that day. If not, please contact Brenda Connolly .

If you didn’t register and are now available to volunteer on that day, just come on Saturday morning and sign up at Volunteer Registration desk which will be located by the preschool entrance.  If you are in need of FREE volunteer child care, you must reserve with us ahead of time.

Volunteers should enter through the preschool doors at the southwest corner of the building after 7:45 a.m. Please park on the neighborhood streets as the church parking lot is reserved for our Clinic guests. Please leave all valuables in your car. There is a room to leave your coat.

Announcements begin in the church at 8:30 a.m. The doors open to our guests at 9:30 a.m. The Clinic ends at 2 p.m.

Guest Advocates are still needed. There is one more Advocate training session on Wednesday, November 8th at 7 p.m. in room 119 (Art room).
